I love my light up pen, I click it obsessively to many a store clerks' annoyance. But I wish it would heat up as well. My hands feel cold due to poor circulation. I'm sure a small heating element could be added to the innards of the pen, powered by the batteries.-- dentworth, Nov 21 2004 Baked in anno http://www.halfbake...a/heaTed_20keyboard [Klaatu, Nov 21 2004] Halfbakery: Winter Mouse http://www.halfbake...idea/Winter_20MouseIncludes a link to an outfit that appears to be selling one, although I'm not sure they're for real - they give addresses to send money to, but no price. [jutta, Nov 21 2004] Well hello to you too, [Klaatu], and when are you going to fix your email?
and furthermore, (hands on hips) just because someone mentions it in an anno, does not make it baked. I googled and can't find a single one, :- P-- dentworth, Nov 21 2004 Not baked, indeed, but I'll buy the set of pen, mouse, and keyboard when it becomes available.-- normzone, Nov 21 2004 That's one of the many things I like about those overprized small "space pens" - they're small and round enough to just keep in my pant pockets, and hence warm to the touch when I use them.-- jutta, Nov 21 2004 [norm], was thinking about the mouse too, It would not be hard to add a battery warmer inside. [edit: I see lots of previous discussion on the mouse and mouse pad]-- dentworth, Nov 21 2004 [dentworth] e-mail now corrected.
As cold as it is, this would still be very nice to have.-- Klaatu, Nov 21 2004 Nice idea. Heat wouldn't adversely affect the ink quality would it?-- tchaikovsky, Nov 22 2004 It could dry out a water based ink faster, but donno about other inks.-- dentworth, Nov 22 2004 random, halfbakery
