Half-page Calendar Blotter   (+6)  [vote for, against]
A blotter-calendar with perforation(s) down the center

Our secretary at work has a blotter on her desk that shows one week at a time. It lists which visitors are showing up when and who's reserved which conference room and the like.

The problem is that by the end of the week, you need to keep flipping over the page to schedule anything for next week. By Thursday, almost everything that you want to write is on the next page.

The solution is to perforate the blotter pages down the center. On Wednesday you can tear away the first half of the week to show the first half of NEXT week. Now you've got a view of seven future days without those days in the past.

You could do this on any old blotter by just tearing out the used part of the page but then it might not be obvious if you're looking at the first half of the current week or the next. Thus, pages are alternately colored to emphasize that a partial blotter page has been torn out.

I like.

Alternatively, use two regular calendars side by side, one for even-numbered weeks and one for odd.

I've seen this baked with calendars, perforated so that you can tear off a week at a time and show, for example, the last two weeks of this month and the first two weeks of next month.
