I was going to suggest coating the popcorn with a glow-in-the-dark, non-toxic substance, if there is such a thing. It would be cool to see little glowing blobs leap into the air then disappear. Also it would help cinema staff clear up afterwards.

I generally dont have popcorn as the cinema, and when I do it's never really a bane to eat in the dark...what would be annoying though is a large cinema hall filled with glowing tubs being passed around while i'm trying to watch a movie....equally or more distracting than the glowing screens of people who play with their mobile phones....sorry M8
