A place to post faulty translations.
Sometimes when i listen to people speak a language that i don't know, my brain translates what was actually said into a similar sounding English statement.
So this morning for example I heard a coworker speaking Russian on the phone. I could swear that she said " this crime type is not committed on Monday" she actually said something in Russian that i did not understand but this is what my brain heard.
So the idea here is a place to post faulty translations that sound interesting. Maybe not that kind of faulty translation, how about:
A l'eau, c'est l'heure.

An English captain is reported to have asked his signalman what the message said, to which he recieved the reply 'allo sailor)-- Twizz, Jun 15 2010 I just love [Phoenix]'s link! We all have sung wrong lyrics before and sometimes they are better than the originals!! Actually all the other links are great, too.-- xandram, Jun 15 2010 random, halfbakery
