Fictitious! [Vernon, Aug 07 2010]

Yay! I'd just like a box of Tasmanian wolves (thylacines), please.

Oh, and don't forget Great Auks.

loveit
-- Voice, Aug 05 2010

Eat all the extinct species!

Since there are some 27 thousand going extinct every year, you'd have to buy a box every day to keep up.
-- ldischler, Aug 05 2010

Or possibly 3,500. Or possibly 60,000. We have completely no idea.
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Aug 05 2010

//We have completely no idea.//

You'll have to count the crackers to find out.
-- ldischler, Aug 05 2010

That's completely unacceptable. We should kill off a definite number just to be sure about the minimum number.
-- rcarty, Aug 06 2010

+ excellent idea now complete with a bun from the prehistoric era!
-- xandram, Aug 06 2010

carrier pigeons?
-- po, Aug 06 2010

I think that "passenger pigeons" was what was meant, po. Native to North America, tasty, they were, until they all got shot and eaten. Not unlike the wild aurochs (giant cattle) of Europe.
-- Vernon, Aug 06 2010

The giant aurochs flew in herds that darkened the sky?!?

Thanks Cedar.

And can we please not forget smallpox?
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Aug 06 2010

[Max], this will be featured in a limited edition "Extinct Virus Crackers". It will have very few unique shapes, unfortunately.
-- Cedar Park, Aug 06 2010

Sorry, [po], got my pigeons in the wrong roost.
-- Cedar Park, Aug 06 2010

// "Extinct Virus Crackers". It will have very few unique shapes, unfortunately.//

Well, only for want of data. The viruses that went extinct when the dinosaurs shuffled off must been far more numerous in both species and number than the dinosaurs themselves.

(+) A limited time offer of animals thought to be extinct and then found to still be kicking crackers would be good too.
Sealacanth just eat one.
