Suits, while they look good, have far too many layers, each of which must be carefully tailored, costing you money. They are also uncomfortable and don't adequately hide body fat.
I propose that one-piece robes, in the style of India of today, venice a few hundred years ago, Greece earlier than that, and Star Wars in fantasy.
These robes would be cheaper (one-piece), more comfortable (loose, hide keg), and cooler (you look like The Merchant of Venice (or a jedi-your choice)). The fabric would be nicer since the jacket is less complex.
Wear it with hats, sandals, and matching satchels.-- sninctown, Apr 29 2005 I baked this by going everywhere in a robe in my dorm hall in Arizona. Many people thought it was awesome. Many people disagreed. The latter were wrong. It was awesome.-- disbomber, Apr 30 2005 This is a good idea, for the reasons you outlined, but i forsee everyone getting really fat, in the knowledge it doesnt matter what they look like under the robes.-- benfrost, May 01 2005 Good plan. Give board meetings that messianic feel. At least then when they don't make sense it'll be taken as some sort of mysterious wisdom.-- moomintroll, May 01 2005 Do non-Executive types get to wear jump suits?-- Zimmy, May 02 2005 [benfrost] your past ideas seem to suggest you forsee everyone getting fat, regardless of what the robes look like.-- david_scothern, May 03 2005 Stretch one piece leisure suits for the working man. Now in DayGlo colors.-- popbottle, Feb 11 2014 Could they have markings to indicate whether the wearer is a mere Department Manager, an Assistant Senior Vice-President, or a Member of the Board of Directors?-- smendler, Feb 13 2014 Robes rock, but this idea is charcoal. And, having had the experience of a snowbank situated where no self-respecting snowbank should be or want to be, there are disadvantages.-- FlyingToaster, Feb 13 2014 Why was this idea not brought to my attention sooner?-- MaxwellBuchanan, Feb 13 2014 Don't look at me [Max], fire your media coordinator and your fashion adviser. And give your third understudy of internet based idea filtering a good hard glare.-- Voice, Feb 16 2014 random, halfbakery
