Erodothedral   (+3)  [vote for, against]
Erosion enlarged ecclesiastical establishment

(Touched off by 2fries “Treethedral”)

Select a suitably sized slab of solid sandstone. (Imagine immensity).

Location: large lake.

A decent distance downhill drop is desirable.

Supervise a series of steerable sluices.

Water washes where where we would want windows.

Time ticks.

Water wanders where-ever we wish.

Time ticks.

Erection of Erodothedral extends enormous eras or eons, or even an eternity.

Somewhat naturally baked in some areas with sufficient sandstone.

I attended a religious service out in the middle of what was not at the time the Escalante-Grand Staircase National Political Area. Incredible, breathtaking...
Says one, "If this overhang came down, they'd never find any of us"
Says another, "Naw, it's been this way since the beginning. It'll be standing here a thousand years from now"

We went back the next year. Just a huge pile of broken rock.

Can just imagine God saying "darn, got the aim right, just got to work on the timing".

The perfect way to supplant organized religion with naturalism. Organic buildings rule!
