Deer are known to spread disease among cattle. Tracking deer down to vaccinate them against disease has only limited success.
The idea is to make cattle fodder smell like the scents that deer hate. A pungent mixture of marigolds, putrescent egg solids, mint, wolf urine, tansy, garlic, thyme, oregano, sage, rosemary, and lavender.
