Why have unreliable umpires when you can automate and have computers and videos make the calls.

Laser illuminate a strikezone and have cameras capture the play . Stick one ump in a booth to make all calls reported by the sensors.

i was hoping this was a nighttime version of baseball like cosmic bowling... glowing bases and laser light display behind the batter. *sigh* (runs off to bake it.)
