Electrokit is an artificial organ, which takes care of the quality of my blood, by providing all nutrients, oxygen, cleanup, etc., by recycling rather than ingesting new matter, so that I live by consuming electricity like computers do...-- Inyuki, Aug 27 2016 I was wondering why the organ cared for blood https://www.youtube...watch?v=QAL2_5-FswE [pashute, Aug 28 2016] An organ with no electricity and doesn't even care about blood https://www.youtube...watch?v=hh2dxH_hOH4 [pashute, Aug 28 2016] Verges on magic.
However, it's also baked and WKTE: dialysis machine + heart-lung machine + IVs.-- MaxwellBuchanan, Aug 27 2016 Rather well warmed over in science-fiction stories; also real life in hospitals for those unable to feed or be fed.-- FlyingToaster, Aug 27 2016 It's called Assimilation, and it's Baked and WKTE.-- 8th of 7, Aug 27 2016 Electrokit is about full-cycle reuse of nutrients, so that no matter (except the electrons) would need to leave or enter the body.... Is it really still WKTE? Maybe, maybe I didn't watch enough of SciFI,. but then, probably I should elaborate on how exactly it works.-- Inyuki, Aug 28 2016 //full-cycle reuse of nutrients// ewww.-- MaxwellBuchanan, Aug 28 2016 [MaxwellBuchanan], I don't mean we have to import a subsystem of biosphere. Let me think.-- Inyuki, Aug 28 2016 Patterning volumes of dancing electrons' spins and fields to do any molecular manipulations wanted will be the magic of the future.-- wjt, Aug 28 2016 Human organism has a simple I/O. What this requires, is an electrochemical process to do O/I, essentially - convert sweat, tears, pee, poo into soylent and water... we could start from researching:
When a human eats diverse food of all kinds, it's definitely hard to do (it's probably in the realm of magic), but supposing that a human is consistently on soylent, we could start researching the output of organism, and compare that with soylent. There would probably be some consistent pattern.
Applications could have wide implications... before the mind uploading.-- Inyuki, Aug 28 2016 //convert sweat, tears, pee, poo into soylent//
Any civilised human being will die within about 48 hours if deprived of basic nutrients such as foie gras, a decent port, a good cheese, real chocolate, and occasional coffees. This is why I am only in Washington for 2 days.-- MaxwellBuchanan, Aug 28 2016 // 48 hours [...] 2 days // . . . so you're just going to stay till you die?-- lurch, Aug 28 2016 Two days, but no nights - just 24 hours. Durrrrr ...-- 8th of 7, Aug 28 2016 This is all well and good, but it does leave a rather large question hanging -
How?-- BunsenHoneydew, Sep 01 2016 I keep reading this as Electrokilt. You'd probably want undies with that one.-- 2 fries shy of a happy meal, Sep 02 2016 random, halfbakery
