Whenever I try to shoot darts at the bar I've got an accuracy which puts me somewhere between four and ten inches off my target and anywhere from 20 to 340 degrees off the mark. It never fails. My solution is to purposely aim for something way off target- that way the real target falls within my "error of accuracy." It's a bhuddist sort of dart playing, shoot at what you are not aiming at- and you will hit what you are shooting for...... but it works for me. With Drunk Darts, their points slightly bent, their feathers awkwardly skewed, their flight paths unimaginably obtuse, I won't even have to miss-aim anymore! I can just let the inherent randomness of the universe score my bulls-eyes for me.-- ASLAN, May 06 2003 How amazingly relavant http://scidiv.bcc.c...ml#Anchortop-002-12 [Worldgineer, Oct 17 2004] Amazingly relevant? http://www.pyramidb...ramidbrew/darts.cgiI don't know where my broken link was pointing to, but I think it was something like this. Maybe the fact that the link was broken is part of the relevance. [Worldgineer, Jan 24 2007] pun
give shields & armour for everyone else in the pub-- po, May 06 2003 Is this like compensating for a slice?-- Zimmy, May 06 2003 Don't confuse precision with accuracy. If you are saying that you hit between 4-10 inches off the mark in the same direction, your accuracy may be off by 4-10 inches, but your precision is only off +-3 inches. Correcting by 7 inches in that direction would be the best way to improve your accuracy. Drunk darts would decrease both your precision and accuracy unless they can be made to do this 7 inch correction for you.-- Worldgineer, May 06 2003 [world] am sure you're right but that arrow went right over my head.
BTW you throw a dart - not shoot it.-- po, May 06 2003 [po] That's where I aimed. If you place your hand on your head you'll notice the apple is no longer there.-- Worldgineer, May 06 2003 precision shot <applause>
you're good at this I can Tell.-- po, May 06 2003 Will(iam) you two get back on subject please?
I think these darts are already baked in most bars. Of course, out here, our drunk darts are those filthy plastic imitations, which don't actually have points. They get bent up rather well though.-- ye_river_xiv, Jan 23 2007 Amen. Baked indeed.-- Pac-man, Jan 24 2007 I wonder what I linked to that was amazingly relevant.-- Worldgineer, Jan 24 2007 Bullseye!-- skinflaps, Jan 24 2007 random, halfbakery
