Putt put golf is an amusing sport that can increase your putting skills (as the name implies). But to improve your drive, your only option is to repeatedly play the game and move the ball closer to a pin. Relatively easy. What you need is obstacles to give you some more critical thinking skills that translate to better driving skills.
Exhibit A: A full size golf course, standard yardage, greens, hazards, etc.
Exhibit B: The green on the 1st is encased in a bamboo cage, holes of which are about 20cm.
Exhibit C: A full size windmill, smack in the middle of the 3rd fairway. Either go through it or WAAAAAY over it.
Exhibit D: 4th green with an undulating surface (static or dynamic, your choice). Or perhaps it has a raised labyrinthine pattern in it that you can either power putt over or let your ball travel through.
Exhibit E: Ball ramps to the 6th tee, provided you can land the ball on the platform 5 yards in the air. On success, the ball will roll all the way to the hole, triggering whatzits, whirligigs, wet sprockets and widgets.
Exhibit F: Fairway on the 7th is hilly. Extremely hilly. Clear the peaks or your ball rolls back into the valley of darkness.
Exhibit G: Gigantic oscillating fans on the 9th fairway. If you're lucky, countering winds will keep the ball straight. Or maybe it will correct your slice. Or it could blow your ball onto the M4.
Etc, etc, ad naseum pro bono senator valorum.-- bdag, Oct 28 2009 Sounds more like Crazy Golf on steroids.-- prufrax, Oct 28 2009 Exhibit Q: Two platforms for driving. Players stand opposite each other and take turns. Players have a shotgun in addition to golf clubs and also take turns shooting the incoming ball out of the air.-- bungston, Oct 28 2009 So not driving while you drive? Like an automotive polo-golf?-- theleopard, Oct 28 2009 Wasn't this baked in Caddyshack 2?-- leinypoo13, Oct 30 2009 Well, that puts like more than half of my ideas on the chopping block then.<looks around sheepishly>Shit, did I just say that out loud?-- 2 fries shy of a happy meal, Nov 01 2009 21 obviously only has very small oscillating fans on the courses he plays.-- shudderprose, Nov 01 2009 random, halfbakery
