Double Jointer   (-1)  [vote for, against]
mill square corners

As any real woodworker knows, squaring rough stock takes at least two passes on a conventional jointer: at least one on the face and one on the edge. I propose a double headed jointer with the heads set at 90 degrees to each other. In this manner, one pass (or more if the stock is heavily bowed) would flatten the face *and* straighten an edge.

Do industrial machines do this? I'd always assumed that PAR timber was prepared in some kind of machine that did all four faces (ie, both faces and both edges) at the same time (?)
