Microsoft (R) should make doughnuts bearing the brand name of their new platform .NET (dot net).
The doughnuts in essence would be light and crispy (and popular with the MS crowd), but not very stable (this would be dubbed a feature).
When certain enviromental variables are met (humidity, temperature) they would internally combust, resulting in the user being gassed and put into a temporary state of confusion (this would be described on the box as a multimedia feature).
Each doughnut would be constructed on a 32 stage assembly line (to match the 32 bit OS), by professionals bearing the MSDE (Microsoft Doghnut Enterprise) certification.
Bill Gates could personally appear in the TV ad to promote the product.-- proto13, Feb 19 2004 Forgive me for not voting - or making any real comment - I got as far as the second sentence and I *have* to have doughnuts! I am off to a (non-half) bakery.-- Jinbish, Feb 19 2004 Yawn. Rants don't count as ideas.-- Worldgineer, Feb 19 2004 Nobody would buy them if they knew they had a penguin-shaped alternative.-- Letsbuildafort, Feb 19 2004 Then there's a coffee flavoured doughnut which - while versatile, elegant, and able to be eaten almost anywhere - comes in a bag about forty times larger than most other doughnuts.-- Detly, Feb 19 2004 random, halfbakery
