I think I've explained this enough already. Basically a program which will convert a text file saying "go this way, turn left at x, straight on.. bla bla bla" to a text file containing the reverse of these directions.-- DRstrathmore, Jul 05 2002 I'm a little worried that you can't do this in your head. Though we did recently have to cope with the directions a friend gave us to her house, where she inadvertently gave us each turn as though we going not coming. Perhaps you have the same problem?-- DrCurry, Jul 05 2002 You know you can accomplish the same thing by reversing the origin and destination in MapQuest, etc.-- phoenix, Jul 05 2002 Unfortunately impossible. Try reversing "Turn right then take the first left."
This reverses to "Turn right then take the an unspecified left because I didn't count the turnings on that side of the road in the original instructions."-- st3f, Jul 05 2002 I spy problems with one-way systems.-- Mayfly, Jul 05 2002 This could be useful to a number of people I know who are directionally challenged, and who are a source of endless frustration as I then have to give them a talkdown via mobile phone. They are deserving of pity rather than condemnation, and anything that will help them is a good idea.-- 8th of 7, Jul 05 2002 How did "strathmore" come into play for your nic? US, Canadian or Isle version?-- thumbwax, Jul 06 2002 turn the page upside down-- po, Jul 06 2002 That trick generally works better with drawn maps than written instructions, mind.-- -alx, Jul 07 2002 [thumb]: He might be related to the Queen Mother.
