Death By Coathanger is a folding coathanger with one big difference; it doubles up as a lethal weapon.
Here's how it works: The hanger has a pivot at the central point, positioned under hook. This enables the two wings to be folded together, except in this hanger there is a powerful expansion spring that maintains them in their extended position.
These two wings are also attached along the bottom by a removable hollow tube, so that the entire arrangement forms the familiar triangular shape of a traditional hanger.
Running along the underside of the two wings is a cord that's concealed inside a recessed groove with grippers at both ends.
Everything functions as a normal coat hanger until some mad emergency presents itself requiring the single use of a powerful weapon. In this case, the bottom hollow tube is detached and placed to the one side. The two wings are pressed towards each other against the resistance of the spring, and the cord running underneath is released, then pulled tight, with both ends being secured via the locking grippers at either side.
If you have been visualising correctly you will now recognise the transformation of the previously benign hanger into that of a powerful arrow shooting bow.
The arrow, in the form of a pointed bolt, is of course contained within the previously removed tube. Its feathers unfurl once it has been slid free of the tubular container.
All that remains to complete the arrangement is to rotate the supporting hook so that it becomes a sight, enabling a degree of accuracy for despatching the deadly arrow.-- xenzag, Sep 15 2019 The best villain in any Indiana Jones movie https://youtu.be/8gSKIQEU8qcNot an arrow, but... You'd probably like Evan Booth's Terminal Cornucopia, then, in which he builds weapons out of things buyable after security at an airport. (Too bad Trump isn't to blame for the TSA.)-- notexactly, Sep 26 2019 random, halfbakery
