Brought to you by the venerable De Selby, of Third Policeman fame, Jig-Saw-Jig- Saw is a jig-saw puzzle which is created by photographing a completed jig-saw, whose subject matter is in turn a person working on a jig-saw puzzle, with numerous pieces scattered about.
To add to the difficulty and confusion, the pieces and cut patterns of Jig-Saw-Jig- Saw, are slightly different to those of its origins, which it is attempting to imitate.
When the entire Jig-saw-jig-saw is half completed, the solver takes a high resolution photograph, which is sent into the manufacturer as part of a competition. One of these is chosen to create the next generation of puzzles.

Bun.-- elhigh, Oct 18 2007 Call it "Fractal Frustrations"-- Macdaddyx1, Feb 10 2008 We used to have some friends who loved Jigsaws, so what we did was buy about 6 boxes of about 10000 piece jigsaws and mix all of the pieces together in a big plastic bag. We then mailed this bag to them anonymously with no photographs attached. I don't know if they like jigsaw puzzles anymore.-- DanDaMan, Feb 11 2008 Ah reality, the only place where there are no leftover and unplaced pieces .-- wjt, Jan 26 2009 [DanDaMan]: I note that you say ~used~ to have ...-- BunsenHoneydew, Aug 26 2009 random, halfbakery
