Curry Courier   (+1)  [vote for, against]
Easy to transport take-away food

Ever picked up a take away and then helplessly watched as the greasy carrier bag slides around in the passenger seat footwell, spilling hot grease over your car interior?

How about a collapsable semi-rigid container with a lid, and a velcro base (so it sticks to either the carpet or seat) and perhaps a strap so it can be held in place with the seatbelt.

Inside is a series of clips or hooks to keep the take-away bags upright, and the whole thing is washable so curry stains can be removed (as if).

A small heating element in the container could be powered from the car lighter socket and would help to keep the take-away at just the right temperature to breed several strains of vomit inducing bacteria... just as the cooks intended

coming to take him away, ha ha.

Good idea, but I find that it's quite possible to put the bag on the seat and belt it in. If this doesn't work for you, you need to order more curry so the bag is bigger.

If you had a hook in the roof over the passenger seat, the bag could be suspended by a strap, keeping it vertical as the car accelerated, decelerated and turned.

The Land Rover Discovery series II came with a 'curry hook' in the front passanger footwell. [link]

I just phone them up and they bring it round themselves using specially trained curry operatives. Leave it to the professionals, I say.

This sounds exactly like the boxes delivery boys in NYC use to carry pizza.

Chuck it in a Schroedinger's Curry Container. Maybe it spilled all over the place; maybe it didn't...

I think he'd find his way out of that. Padlock. Needs a padlock.

Ray: are you taking home Indian food or Hannibal Lecter?

As to whom I'm referring I leave as an exercise to the reader. (sorry, doc, it was just too tempting).

Yeah, but po beat you to it by a head.

You could chuck the word "curry" into any idea and receive a croissant from me. Especially when I'm hungry.

...and smacking you on the side of the head as you exit the roundabout...

You want a thermoelectric cooler, such as the "Koolatron." Heats and cools (not at the same time). They make them small enough to hold a 6-pack, if you need something smaller try a 12V baby-bottle warmer. Should keep takeout food warm, I've used them to heat up packaged meals like TV dinners.
