Relax at home in silky-soft, long-haired rodent slippers. The slippers' comfy soles have double mesh uppers. Between the mesh layers is ample room for a sleeping hamster, young guinea pig or two frizzy mice per foot.
These long hair breeds are gentle, docile pets that love human contact. They are nocturnal, housebroken and love to snuggle. Warm your tootsies as you shuffle around the house in the dense fur of a golden-brown Angora hamster, the long coat of a Peruvian guinea pig or the blue satin of long hair mice.-- FarmerJohn, Sep 30 2002 Slipper illustration http://www.petplane...g_-_Long_Haired.htm [FarmerJohn, Sep 30 2002, last modified Oct 21 2004] Just don't worry too much about the occasional warm dribbling feeling over your toes, nor indeed those warm, squishy, soft, dark brown balls that sometimes appear.
I wondered if this was anything to do with Nick Park and Aardman Animations but, alas, no once again. The idea of "turn on and off-able" slippers really appealed.-- PeterSilly, Sep 30 2002 oohh!!!! hee hee. No, I couldn't possibly vote for this (oops, my mouse slipped there anyway.) I've got tickly giggles just thinking about it. It's like that grolsch advert with the feather on the end of an electric drill. teeee hee!-- lewisgirl, Sep 30 2002 P.S. Dear Sir, not to worry. These pet rodents are guaranteed housebroken. We thoroughly test the guinea pigs on many guinea pigs and none have yet stepped in crap while pulling on or walking in the featured footwear.-- FarmerJohn, Sep 30 2002 FJ - I freely admit that I dunno much about biology, even less about the biology of small, fluffly (sic) rodents. However, experience at friend's houses seems to indicate that a hamster has the rodentine equivalent of a cast-iron bladder if they manage more than about 15 minutes without, well, weeing.
I like the visions and dreams it gives me. I just find it hard to accept the practicalities.-- PeterSilly, Sep 30 2002 Well, could i interest you in a hamster hat then?//visions and dreams// That's what I like about really wild ideas - you never have to check if they've already been baked.-- FarmerJohn, Sep 30 2002 No - for same reason as stated above.
My dearly departed mother used to have a black "ferret" that she used to balance on her head. It looked as though she had just escaped from the Gulag. Either that, or a ferret was balancing on her head.-- PeterSilly, Sep 30 2002 //These pet rodents are guaranteed housebroken//
So they drag the slipper cages they're in into the toilet bowl?-- LoneRifle, Mar 11 2003 Stubbing your toe in the middle of the night... (squish)... :(-- Cedar Park, Mar 11 2003 I'm glad you cancelled plans for a line of underwear.-- waugsqueke, Mar 11 2003 random, halfbakery
