Base unit has micro-fridge storing milk or cream. At an appropriate time before alarm is set to go off, 1 cup of coffee is made with milk sugar per your specs. Alarm goes off and will not stop until coffee mug is emptied.(In theory you will drink it).-- Zimmy, Jun 11 2003 I love fresh coffee in the morning, but am not thrilled about having to enjoy it with an ear-splitting alarm near my head. Perhaps the alarm goes off when you pick it up, but turns back on if you set it down unless it's empty.-- Worldgineer, Jun 11 2003 For [Zanzibar] the alarm would be set off when the temperature of the mug makes a transition from high to low across a preset threshold.-- kbecker, Jun 13 2003 World, I see no mention of an ear-splitting alarm. You're making wild assumptions and you should be well aware we much prefer tame assumptions here at the bakery. Had you taken the time to read between the lines in the meta files you would have seen this information. Consider yourself forewarned!
Zimmy, install a soothing weekend alternative alarm and you've really got something. And have the option to make tea. Or cocoa (hot chocolate), too.-- Canuck, Jun 13 2003 Place bucket by bed. Sleep in bed. Alarm sounds. Fill bucket. zzzzz-- saker, Jun 13 2003 Don't send [saker] one - it would be wasted. [nuck], I did make the assumption it would need to be lound enough to wake me (though [Zimmy] doesn't know me and as such this was a very silly assumption). I don't think I'd need any sound for the weekend setting - the smell of fresh coffee should work just fine.-- Worldgineer, Jun 13 2003 random, halfbakery
