1. Construct a gas filled vinyl balloon having the shape of a bagel formed like an over-inflated Mickey Mouse auto tire. A continuous bicycle chain runs between the balloons axle and pedals in the basket. 2. Sit in the basket and if absent a full head of hair, don a woollen cap or better yet a helmet topped with a stuffed hare. 3. Launch the bagel balloon on a storm cloudy day and float above the wispy tops in the sunlight. 4. Proceed to pedal vigorously while applying hair/wool/hare to the surface of the rotating balloon giving it a negative charge and you with basket a positive charge. 5. Release some gas from the balloon to sink swiftly towards a positively charged cloud crest. 6. Feel repulsion and levity as you rebound upward while picnicking on fried hare gairaut style high above the lightning and hail.-- FarmerJohn, May 09 2005 Cloud Bouncing Simplified [FarmerJohn, May 11 2005] Basics of Static Electricity http://www.school-f.../science/static.htm [FarmerJohn, May 09 2005] Charge Distribution in Clouds http://apollo.lsc.v...e_distribution.html [FarmerJohn, May 09 2005] fried hare gairaut style http://www.cote.azu...tyle_17_lang_en.htm [FarmerJohn, May 11 2005] Don't float in the Ganges http://ebeltz.net/c...n/chs/1993colu.html [coprocephalous, May 11 2005] Axle? Unless someone points to the idea appearing here in the past couple years, I'll have to admit that I've had the same idea myself (without the rabbit -- a VERY big without, mind you). +-- reensure, May 11 2005 what does the bunny get out of this?-- po, May 11 2005 Ill give this a + for the image, but the last paragraph doesnt work.
