The "SCA" sends nannies fluent in the appropriate current "cool" childrens fantastical genre that still require respect and awe. They will be costumed, whether it be Worf or Chewbacca. They will speak the appropriate language. The children being watched will not pull their little chairs up to the counter beside the fridge to step up on the counter to reach up on top of the fridge to get the candy hidden there as Chewbacca will say 'Aaaargherrrahrrallahh!' (which roughly translates to - no desert or TV tonight! - You know damn good & well that Mom & Pop will be informed.) Plus if Chewbacca is still in vogue w/ the kids he can teach them the basics of electronics.-- Zimmy, Aug 03 2005 I wonder what Jaws from the James Bond movies would be like as a nanny. Now that I think about it, I wonder what Jaws from the Jaws movies would be like as a nanny.-- hidden truths, Aug 03 2005 Poor Chewie on Sernpidal.-- Zimmy, Aug 03 2005 i predict chewbacca is the new pirate. or custard.-- benfrost, Aug 03 2005 Is chewbacca the new Black? I wonder.-- skinflaps, Aug 03 2005 [+] for getting me to imagine Mary Poppins as a Wookie.-- zen_tom, Aug 03 2005 I understand the TV bit, but is the desert now some kind of reward for children?-- fridge duck, Aug 03 2005 I misread this as chewable nanny.-- Texticle, Aug 04 2005 I'm *deeply* relieved that this doesn't involve the suckling of hairy teats.
Wonder what the klingon equivalent would be...-- Dog, Aug 04 2005 "Get in there and babysit you big furry oaf!" "Aaaaaargheerrralaaargh"! "I don't care what you smell!" [kicks Chewbacca into house]-- DocBrown, Aug 04 2005 Have just been given a "Chewie is my co-pilot" t-shirt by my other half. Considering getting a "Chewie is my nanny" t-shirt for the little one.-- wagster, Aug 04 2005 How did a species that evolved in the trees and communicates through broken wails ever conceive of electronics? And come to think of it, how did the Wookies?
The Spock Nanny would be the least popular: "Staying up past your bedtime is not logical."-- RayfordSteele, Aug 05 2005 random, halfbakery
