This business would work like a home security company, but for personal webcams. So someone who is walking home alone at night can switch on their security cam (which has characteristic flashing LEDs) and muggers would recogniae this and avoid the person. A security guard could monitor a number of the cams at once and contact the police if anything happened. You could add on face recognition for an extra charge. The more people bought these the more security guards you could hire to monitor them.-- smugcomputerguy, Mar 07 2004 Bounty Hunting with web video in Korea http://www.nytimes....rowth-industry.html [JesusHChrist, Sep 28 2011] There was a news article where a flasher was arrested after his target snapped him on her mobile. Wouldn't help with a mugger, unless the camera was transmitting live video - cue 3G (finally, a use!)-- FloridaManatee, Mar 07 2004 Bun.-- BunsenHoneydew, Mar 28 2005 Smart.-- JesusHChrist, Mar 28 2005 random, halfbakery
