You receive something nice in a 16 x 11 x 9 [inches] cardboard box. You are pleased to get it. But there is a bonus. The vendor has thoughtfully added some perforations strategically placed such that by a bit of refolding and tab-tucking you can recycle the box as a handy bookholder! It will hold books and papers at a 50 degree angle for reading at a table or working at a PC. The vendor is happy to add this feature because there is plenty of surface area to print ads. You won't have trouble finding the vendor's phone number in the future. The bookholder's tabs hold it together; no staples or tape required. I drew up basic sketches of one way to do it. See links below.-- flypaper, Sep 29 2003 Bookholder http://home.earthli...ages/bookholder.JPGThis is what the bookholder would look like after punched out of carton and folded. I didn't do the carton part yet. Having shipped a few items around the country, some occasionally come back. More than once, I saw what left as a box, come back as a ball. I'm not sure if you would be able to perforate sufficiently to allow punching out of the secondary product without significantly weaking the integrity of the carton.
Oh, yeah, +-- half, Sep 29 2003 Truly delicious.-- the_jxc, Sep 29 2003 Good idea [shift]. Corrugated cardboard is wonderful stuff and should be used more.-- flypaper, Sep 29 2003 To increase sales Domino's could start a Pizza-Box collection.
