A few days ago, I learned that in the Baroque era, some of the wealthier people in Europe had orchestras of various sizes follow them around. Sort of an earlier version of the walkman. I think this idea should be brought back into vogue. [jutta, Mar 01 2001] In the frozen land of Nador they were forced to eat Sir Robin's minstrels. And there was much rejoicing.-- sirrobin, Mar 01 2001 I misread this as "Bury-a-Band." Drat. (No, it's not a real idea; don't put it up.)-- bookworm, Mar 01 2001 Remember the 'Billy Girls' in Ally McBeal?-- angel, Apr 23 2001 No I don't. Why would anybody follow a toothpick around? Were they woodwinds or reed instruments? Only band that ever followed me around was stuck to the bottom of my shoe- BandAid that is.-- thumbwax, Apr 23 2001 random, halfbakery
