One of the characteristics of breast cancer is an increase in temperature, due to a number of factors. As most women wear bras, there is an opportunity to build into them a pair of woven mesh sensors that constantly monitor the temperature of each breast, then deliver two sets of readings to a monitoring app for comparative analysis. Any prolonged temperature difference would quickly register, and potentially lead to earlier detection.

Dogs.

We know of one lady whos dog kept persistently nudging, nuzzling and trying to lick one of her breasts. Then she thought she could feel ... something.

An X-ray revealed very early stage mammary cancer, right on the threshold of detectability with current technology. It was immediately and successfully treated.

Dogs are already being trialled for detecting cancer by sniffing urine samples.
