Bondage checkers   (+8)  [vote for, against]
I promise, this is my last idea with sexual undertones for today

The idea can be applied to common abstract strategy board games like chess and checkers.

Each piece is attached with a rope/cord/cable of a certain length that can be altered according to the degree of difficulty you choose for the game (length is determined in advance).

As you play, your pieces can get entangled, so you have to think much more carefully about what you do. There will come a time that two pieces are so entangled that they can eiher no longer move, or that they are a free lunch for your opponent.

Each time you take a piece of your opponent, its 'bondage' is removed and the piece is taken off the board. (The rope has a little clamp on the under-side of the board).

I made an illustration, to give the idea a certain cachet.

So, strategic Twister?
-- pertinax, Jun 08 2007

Yes but twister is very physical, isn't it? Bondage and SM situations are more cerebral, so I was told.

Not what I was expecting this to be. I'm not sure how playable this would be, but it's an interesting new twist, as it were. [+]

Also handy for travel sets, to keep the pieces from falling off the board.

Nice illustration, but chess / checker boards only have 64 squares.

So, not helpful visitors who can offer advice on safe handcuffing for beginners, then?

[Nuclear_hobo] are you sure? See link.

Wikipedia: "International draughts (also called Polish draughts) - The board size is 10×10 with 20 pieces on each side and has flying kings. Unlike in chess the playing fields are numbered just by the numbers from 1 to 50. If there are many sequences to capture, one has to capture the sequence that has the most pieces. If a man touches the kings row from a jump and it can continue to jump backwards, it has to jump backwards, but it is not kinged. It is mainly played in the Netherlands, France, some eastern European countries, some parts of Africa, some parts of the former USSR, and other European countries."

Us eurokids can handle 100 squares. We tend to have a broader and deeper view on things, lol.

Ah, but Quirkat only uses a 5 x 5 board.
