A new kitten in the house inevitably means lots of lots of electrical cords with teeth marks in them. Or does it? At the wire factory, mix in a bit of denatonium with the PVC insulation. One nibble, and the kitty will be disgusted, opting to chew on your leg instead.

Nintendo covers its Switch catridges with denatonium benzoate, which I can confirm tastes really bad. Denatonium benzoate is non toxic and is commonly used for this purpose. Further googling suggests that you can buy this spray to deter pets (dogs) from biting things which are not supposed to be bitten.
