This is an image projected onto the windshield of the car as you drive. It's translucent, so you can see the normal outside world through the image. The image itself is a bird's eye view generated by some kind of radar or sonar device on the car. It shows you the top down view of what's around you. That way you can drive like you did in the video game Spy Hunter.-- lawpoop, Aug 19 2004 Chase-Cam http://www.halfbake...m/idea/Chase-Cam_2eredundant, sorry [FarmerJohn, Oct 04 2004] Arcade racing style car http://www.halfbake...-racing-style_20carAnd another one. [Emi-chan, Oct 04 2004] Spy Hunter http://www.80snosta...trum/spyhunter.htmlFor those of you too young to remember... [suctionpad, Oct 04 2004] Interesting, but I'm going to need more than "some kind of radar or sonar device" to not call it magic. Perhaps an aerodynamic ballonera?-- Worldgineer, Aug 19 2004 Sounds good to me!-- lawpoop, Aug 19 2004 Play video games at home and drive your car on the road. This is quite complex enough for some. Let's not try and mix the two up.-- Emi-chan, Aug 19 2004 [Emi] The Spy Hunter reference is just to help people visualize this idea. I'm not suggesting that people actually play games on the road. This idea might seem complex at first, but I think after you get used to it, it will improve your driving. You will see things you currently can't in your car's first-person-perspective blind-spots.-- lawpoop, Aug 19 2004 Aw. Ok. I'll retract my bone then. This could be useful for parking in tight spaces I s'pose. Ah what the hell you talked me into it. I'll give it bread.-- Emi-chan, Aug 19 2004 [Emi] Excellent!!!!!!-- lawpoop, Aug 20 2004 random, halfbakery
