Bird Befriender   (+11)  [vote for, against]
Give birds whatever it is they crave

It's great if you see a sweet sparrow and happen to have some sunflower seeds with you to feed it. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to cater to the bird's other needs as well?

The Bird Befriender is about the size of an eyeglass case, and comes in many avant-garde colors and styles. Inside the multicompartmental container is a section with shelled sunflower seeds and another compartment with peanuts. That takes care of the two main types of seed-eating birds. There's also a screw-top cylinder full of water, difficult for birds to find during hot, dry weather. Finally, the lucky bird will discover a spool of loosely wound strings of rope and fiber; the perfect nesting material.

The Bird Befriender Deluxe version comes with a telescoping rod which leads to a foldout wooden birdhouse! Simply extend the rod all the way up, stick it securely into a dense hedge, and your bird beneficiary will be able to drink, eat, bathe, nest, and take cover all from the comfort of its own home.

+ for anything that is kind to birds

I'm thinking of adding a small jet-pack to help them migrate.

Gannets? You'll need a significant depth of water in there somewhere. Gannets are the ultimate in death-from-above coolness, and near the top of my list of species to befriend.

I don't like Gannets.
