The game proceedes in the normal manner of the board game 'Battleships' (each player has two boards with grids marked such that coordinates for each square can be read out; on one board the player positions his ships and on the other he plots hits and misses on the other player's ships... remember?)
Where ships were traditionally marked by lines, 'X's, schematic aerial views of boats or fancy plastic models, they are now replaced by shot glasses filled with a chosen spirit. On recieving a hit, that shot glass is drained. Numbers of ships and their sizes may need adjusting for those not hardcore(/sensible) enough to deal with the full complement of 5,4,3,3,2 squares for the five ships.
This was done by my brother, so credit goes to [GeorgeP]; as he tried it out too, it will have to be labled as baked, but a good enough idea to have some time on here in my opinion.-- TomP, Jan 06 2012 The original game http://en.wikipedia...ttleship_%28game%29For those can't remember or never played it.
