A "simple" map on a digital tablet (or liquid cristal paper, or whatever) that knows where is the north, thus orienting itself correctly as long as it's horizontal. Oh and by the way, it could also make some positionning etc; but that's, of course, as expensive as having a GPS embedded in the map, isn't it?-- sidi, Jan 25 2004 Tourism compass maps http://www.halfbake...7s_20Compass_20MapsAs for the subtitle. [sidi, Oct 04 2004] Earthmate http://www.delorme.com/earthmate/Will automatically orient the map to true north or can be set to have the map oriented to direction of travel. Also works with PDA's. [Klaatu, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 21 2004] I don't understand. Maybe it's the subtitle that's throwing me off. Surely there must be a compass device involved somehow.
I wonder if anyone makes a digital compass add-on for a PDA?-- half, Jan 25 2004 sp: crystal-- Klaatu, Jan 25 2004 Come to think of it; has single application liquid crystal (tx) paper been done yet?-- sidi, Jan 25 2004 random, halfbakery
