Horoscopes are always saying things like 'this is a week for being assertive' or 'stay laidback this week, as the early bird might have a crack at the worm, but it's likely to get mowed down by the shortsighted lawnmower of Fate.' In order to help us poor mortals carry out the astrologers' true and wise advice, I propose a service whereby you can download a playlist full of songs suitable for the theme of the week. So a horoscope involving the words 'you must be assertive on tuesday, and possibly you'll find a coconut' would involve lots of upbeat, inyerface stuff and at least one song involving coconuts (I can only think of one).
With a bit of luck, we can then progress to a point where you can ignore the whiny gits altogether and go straight to your (astrologically correct) music.-- moomintroll, May 04 2006 Music by sign http://www.musicsph...html/astrweek.shtml [Shz, May 04 2006] Are you thinking of that Harry Nilssen one? You put the lime in the coconut?-- zen_tom, May 04 2006 Or The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist. Although coconuts only really get a passing mention rather than a starring role.-- fridge duck, May 04 2006 Oh and there's that one that goes 'I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts...'-- zen_tom, May 04 2006 Or anything by Kid Creole.-- egbert, May 04 2006 LyricFind.com returns 85 songs with the word /coconut/, but I don't know if I like any of them.
+but I do like your idea. ps- maybe if it said the coconut contained One Million Dollars....-- xandram, May 04 2006 [zen]'s was the one I was thinking of.-- moomintroll, May 04 2006 How about: Taurus: It's like that, and that's the way it is.
I would love to see that in a horoscope.-- moomintroll, May 04 2006 I'm vacillating on this one. 'Course, I'm a libra, so that's natural.-- lurch, May 04 2006 I think horoscopes are bullshit, but we Capricorns are very skeptical.-- baconbrain, May 04 2006 Being a Gemini, I'm in two minds about this idea.-- Salmon Of Doubt, May 04 2006 Pisces - anything by Marillion.-- egbert, May 05 2006 Before Steve Hogarth of course! It's strange, they've actually been around longer with the new line-up than they ever were with the old one.-- zen_tom, May 09 2006 random, halfbakery
