Sometimes we are all guilty of relying heavily on over-used insults when we want to berate somebody. 'Arsehole', 'Dickhead', etc... using insults such as these puts you in a bad light. Passers-by will consider you to be ill-educated and of little brain.
What we need is a database of insults that are archaic or have an unusual ring. It will increase our vocabulary and turn the business of insulting your fellow man into something more palatable.
I suggest the following standard insults to begin the database, but please feel free to add more unusual insults from particular vernaculars or time periods (possibly with a brief explanation if they are exceptionally obscure).
