For parking lots where it's difficult to find a space.
You are given a ticket when you enter that directs you to a specific spot. The computer has already checked that the space is clear that it's big enough for your car and that it's the most convenient space.
This systems eliminates: Searching for a space Fighting over a space "WTF did I park the car?" syndrome Valet parking woes
It also alleviates lining up for a space, because they can admit the next car before the previous car has left the lot exit.
