Find acronyms in web pages

Search term is a single word (sequence of letters). Search results are indexed pages in which sequences of words exist whose first letters are the letters in the search term, in order. Option to filter out sequences containing certain punctuation marks, so as to filter in acronyms found within sentences rather than straddling multiple sentences.

Here's something, not sure it's exactly what you're proposing. https://www.acronymfinder.com/

I see that there's at least one acronym search engine, are you suggesting adding additional features?

You seemed to have read the title instead of the idea. Perhaps you would understand better if you read the whole thing.

Hmm let’s try.

Nope.

Allow me.

Traditional search engines search pages using a keyword. If you want to find pages about cookies you can type "cookie" and they will return pages with those letters in that order.

This search engine or search option focuses on finding acronyms in web pages. If you search "ball", the engine knows you want to limit your searches to pages containing "ball" as an acronym, and are not likely to be interested in pet toys or sporting goods. It works by analyzing punctuation surrounding the acronym.

[LoriZ] also wants it to be able to identify acronyms separate from sentences, apparently in the form of lists of acronyms or sentences which begin and end with the acronym. Possibly the individual has searched for an acronym and found it mixed in with other letters in a sentence. For example the acronym AND is otherwise difficult to search for.

[LoriZ] may not thought of typing the word "acronym" along with the desired acronym into his or her favorite search engine.
