The tessearact (see link) is a 4-Dimentsional analog of a 3-dimensional cube. Computers can calculate their properties and simulate them. As creatures who natively understand 3-dimensional geometry, we can only understand 4-dimensional objects through their projection into 3-D space.
This game is a first-person shooter ala Golden Eye, where you play a 3-D person running around in a 4-D building. Each room is a hypercube, hyper-rectangle, etc.
It's a challenge at first, trying to chase, shoot, and sneak up on your enemy, but over time, with trial and error, you will develop a sense of 4-dimensional projections well enough to play competitively.-- lawpoop, Mar 27 2017 Tesseract https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesseract [lawpoop, Mar 27 2017] Prior art Kata_2fAna_20Alter-Dimension_20Games4D game discussion [neutrinos_shadow, Mar 27 2017] We've been deep into 4D games before around here. See linky.-- neutrinos_shadow, Mar 27 2017 Just arm the 4D extrusion part of your own body. And your good to go.-- wjt, Mar 28 2017 It was possible in Descent using an editor to create custom maps in which 4D-shaped maps like hypercubes were entirely possible. Flew through them many times. Or maybe it was just one time in 5D space...-- RayfordSteele, Mar 28 2017 I am a pacifist so I would rather see 4D ocean rescue!
you toss lifesavers to people at other geometries and try to rescue them as they risk floating away. The more you rescue the more you win.-- beanangel, Apr 01 2017 random, halfbakery
