Proposition 1. Young children are often transported in wheeled conveyances - prams and pushchairs. These are propelled by the pushing action of the caregiver.
Proposition 2. Cheap lawnmowers can be propelled by the pushing action of the gardener, but superior lawnmowers have driven wheels powered by a Briggs and Stratton or similar 2 stroke petrol engine.
Proposition 3. Regular soothing noise can lull the child to sleep.
Corollary. A specially designed pram / pushchair has a built in 2 stroke engine and gearbox to drive the rear wheels. Controls can be mounted on the handle as usual.-- pocmloc, Jun 28 2021 Baby-face Finalyson https://external-co...compress&f=1&nofb=1Just one of the fantastic array of characters created in "The Beano" comic. His pram also had sail-assisted propulsion. [DrBob, Jul 01 2021] The Youtube link is merely a gimmick, not a practical method of transporting an infant at walking pace.-- pocmloc, Jun 28 2021 //Regular soothing noise can lull the child to sleep// Surely using a steam engine for pram propulsion would make a more soothing noise? Older siblings will also enjoy shovelling coal into the firebox-- hippo, Jun 28 2021 Have you HEARD a 2-stroke? That's not a "soothing sound", more "wake the dead".-- neutrinos_shadow, Jun 30 2021 Baby-face Finlayson. <linky>-- DrBob, Jul 01 2021 Fumes will be great for the child! Perhaps a 2 stroke compressed air engine running on NO2 for the added benefit. The fumes would certainly make the little critter snooze.-- saedi, Jul 08 2021 Fumes will be great for the child!
