Around Halloween, the local deli counter
at the supermarket places a bunch of
severed plastic fingers around the cold
cuts. It's kind of gross, but people are
pretty good-humored about it and it
makes the kids squeal.
I think it would be cool to take it a step
further and make a bologna
in the shape
of a severed head. The rind could be
skin-coloured, and the inside could be
done in layers of different types of tasty
cheese to represent bone and brain
cross-sections.
Once an order was filled, the head would
be placed back in the deli case. I
would use a couple of bologna heads and
slice them from different angles to
determine the most horrible effect.
This could also be done with bologna
forearms, pressed ham feet, etc.
